How We Help
Through training, technical assistance, prevention, advocacy, and statewide collaboration, we help build a more equitable, survivor-centered response across our state.
Training & Technical Assistance
We equip survivor-serving organizations, advocates, healthcare providers, Tribal communities, culturally specific partners, prosecutors, law enforcement, educators, and community partners with the training, resources, and technical assistance they need to better serve survivors and strengthen their communities.
Prevention
Preventing sexual violence starts long before harm occurs. We partner with communities across New Mexico to promote healthy relationships, strengthen protective factors, uplift culturally relevant strategies and address the root causes of violence through evidence-based prevention strategies.
Policy & Systems Advocacy
We work alongside partners, advocates, and policymakers to strengthen laws, improve systems, and advance policies that support survivors and prevent sexual violence across New Mexico.
Data & Research
We collect, analyze, and share data to better understand sexual violence in New Mexico, inform policy and practice, and raise public awareness through research, reporting, and education.

NMCA supports CACs through technical assistance, training, and more. The NM Children’s Alliance has been a program of NMCSAP since 2019.
New Mexico Sexual Assault Helpline
The New Mexico Sexual Assault Helpline connects survivors, loved ones, and community members with free, confidential support by phone, text, and chat—24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The New Mexico Sexual Assault Helpline is a project of NMCSAP, begun in 2024.
Our Collective Impact
Every statistic represents a survivor, family, or community impacted by New Mexico’s network of sexual assault service providers. Together, NMCSAP and survivor serving programs are building a stronger, more accessible response to sexual violence across our state. In fiscal year 2026:
